Week 10

Today I saw a 9 year old boy who was an excellente patient. He was easy to clean and fulfilled my requirement for a 1A. Then he had to have 10, count 'em, 10 sealants! I happily gave those away to three other girls, seeing as how I am done with my sealant requirements. My afternoon patient was a really sweet lady whose name is Sonia. She was a class 5 and really easy. Now I just need Class 3's!!!

Victory Is Mine!! (Sort of)

At last! Milton "Snoop" Berry showed up!! I thought I had lost him forever as a patient. He no-showed for mockboards, and I haven't talked to him since. But my patient cancelled on me when I called to confirm him (of course) so I called Milton and he agreed to come. Then he actually showed up!! I was so happy!! I did a full mouth set of x-rays on him which I need if he is going to be my board patient. I had enough time to clean one quad, so I did, or so I thought. My instructor checked him when I was done and I pretty much sucked. There was calculus everywhere!!! I knew he was a hard patient but sheesh!! My confidence is slashed to pieces. I don't know if I will use him for boards or not. But he is really nice and gave me some good pointers. And he's a rapper!!

Week 8

Today I saw a very nice chica named Mary. Turns out she is the co-owner of Prairie Schooner, a delectable restaurant in Ogden. You actually sit in covered wagons to eat your dinner!!! Anyhoo, she was great, but only a 1B (BOOOOO!!!!) I need some hard patients!! My afternoon patient was a great lady named Sonia who was a class 2. I only did 2 quads, and she is coming back next week.
