I'm back, baby, I'm back!

I am officially back in the blogging world, if only for education purposes. I was instructed to write about clinic in a blog format, and what a day of clinic it was. My first patient of the day had the nerve to cancel on me the night before. For privacy reasons we will refer to her as M. Waters. No wait, that's to obvious, we'll call her Maria W. So at 8:oo p.m. the night before clinic I had to find a patient. I called a person that Mrs. Campbell had so graciously emailed me, and he was more than eager to come in. Turns out that he is the perfect board patient, and 3 out of the 4 quads qualify. I cleaned the quad that didn't qualify, and explained the situation to Mr. Berry. He said, and I quote, "I am a sucker for you, I do anything for you." I just hope he doesn't go back to jail or anything between now and May. My afternoon patient was a young lad of 17 years old, who was an easy 1B to clean, except my ultrasonic kept overheating. I got him done though, and also did a pano on him. Overall it was a good day, but I am still waiting for that magic moment when everything "clicks", and I finally understand how to be a hygienist. Until next time, TTFN. Ha!

Way to keep your patients confidentiality!! You are hilarious! I am so proud that you found a possible board pt--even though I am green with envy!
